My name is Sarah and I am a teacher who is based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. I have over sixteen years of teaching experience through Key Stage One and Two, and I have always known that teaching was what I wanted to do. I have loved my time working with the different age groups in school, and can’t even pick a favourite subject because I love them all!

I understand that every child is unique, and I believe that we all learn differently. I love taking the time to get to know students and reflecting on what we can do to support them in achieving their true potential. Bespoke tutoring sessions for individuals and groups can provide the additional opportunities for practise that students need, and I also love offering online sessions, meaning that students can learn from the comfort of their own home.

I believe that working closely with parents can help to further support students in tuition. As a parent myself, I understand how difficult it can be to develop a clear understanding of the whole curriculum, and the style of lesson delivery, that children receive in school. This is why I created my series of webinars on phonics and reading for parents. I hope that these provide valuable insight into the structure of teaching phonics and reading skills, so that this can be replicated at home as well.

Head Start Primary Tuition has something for everyone. I deliver a wide range of subjects, in-person and online, to individuals and groups of different ages. When I’m not delivering content to my students, I am spending my time further exploring the needs of each individual, gathering the right resources, and planning the next steps that we need to take together.
